The problem

Many families save the traditional way: grams of gold in different karats, some silver, and cash in local and foreign currencies. Knowing what it is all worth today means checking prices, converting units and doing the math by hand, and then working out zakat on top. Taht Elbalata (“under the tile”, the Arabic idiom for savings kept at home) turns all of that into one live number.

What it does

  • One total in your local currency, with chips showing what it equals in gold, silver and dollars.
  • Live gold and silver prices, plus a jeweler price-gap slider to match what dealers near you charge.
  • Gain and loss per asset against what you actually paid.
  • Estimated assets (property, land, a car) kept clearly outside the liquid total and zakat.
  • Zakat with an 85 g 24-karat gold nisab and a Hijri due date.
  • Debts owed to you, budgets, cash flow and a currency converter.
  • Guest mode that works fully on the device, plus an optional biometric lock.
  • Arabic-first RTL interface, dark mode and full English support.

Under the hood

01

Encrypted by default

Every value is stored inside an AES-256-GCM box, so no financial data sits in storage as readable text. The vault key is derived on the device with PBKDF2-SHA256 (200,000 iterations) and kept in the platform keystore. It never leaves the phone.

02

End-to-end encrypted backup

The cloud document holds a single ciphertext field and a timestamp, nothing else. Firestore rules let each user read and write only their own document, and App Check blocks unknown clients. Not even the developer can read a user's data.

03

No account required

Guest mode is fully functional and sends nothing to the internet. Signing in only adds the encrypted backup, so privacy is the default, not a setting.

04

Honest numbers

Market prices are indicative, so the app lets users calibrate against their local jeweler and keeps estimated assets visually secondary and out of the zakat calculation.
